This cubist almárka is an extraordinary artefact from the period of Czech cubism, a style unparalleled in the world. It was created at a time when Czech architects and designers such as Josef Gočár and Pavel Janák were looking for a way to transfer the principles of Cubism into architecture and interior design.

The cabinet impresses with its sharp lines, sloping surfaces and geometric structures, which are present both on the top plate and on the face of the door. This rhythmic morphological language creates a dynamic but harmonious visual impression, typical of Cubist furniture.
