Statue of Jesus Christ
This polychrome statue of Jesus Christ represents the motif of the Sacred Heart, symbolizing love, sacrifice, and mercy. Christ is dressed in a red robe and a light green cloak, whose colors carry traditional Christian symbolism. The statue is made of plaster, as was common in folk religious art in the first half of the 20th century. It bears visible signs of age and wear – the polychromy is chipped in some areas, yet overall it remains well preserved. Suitable as a decorative and devotional object for a home interior, a small chapel, or a private altar, it may also serve as a valuable collectible piece or a basis for restoration.
